Botswana’s winter is May to October when the weather is hot during the day (not stiflingly hot) and cold at night. Botswana's summer months (November to April) can be hot and humid and there is a chance of rain. Botswana has one rainy season which runs between mid-December and runs through to mid-March.

Located on the edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Dinaka Safari Lodge is in its own private reserve. With just seven luxurious en-suite tents, this exclusive camp offers fantastic wildlife viewing, including the Kalahari lion.
Situated in a private reserve tucked on the edge of the Central Kalahari, Dinaka Safari Lodge provides a perfect start or finish to any Botswana safari.
Although considered a desert, the park offers a huge variation of habitats from sand dunes to bushveld, and welcomes an abundance of wildlife including the famous Kalahari lion, cheetah and brown hyena. Birding is particularly impressive in this area with over two hundred bird species visiting the reserve throughout the year, including the striking Kori Bustard and a high concentration of Pale Chanting Goshawks.
This luxury lodge offers seven spacious tents raised on wooden decks, giving you the perfect vantage point to enjoy the spectacular scenery and spot the large variety of animals that have come to drink from the waterhole. Each tent is airy and spacious with its own en-suite bathroom, including both an indoor and outdoor shower. For families, there is even a two bedroomed tent with a shared bathroom. Dinaka Safari Lodge prides itself on being a child-friendly camp and is fantastic for a families first adventure to Africa. All tents are connected by wooden walkways, to allow easy access for everyone.
As a private game reserve, Dinaka Safari Lodge is able to offer guests the chance to experience a multitude of interesting wildlife activities as well as daily morning and afternoon game drives. You can go back to nature and learn about the San culture of the Bushman first hand, whilst doing some incredible bush walks, you can even try and spot the more elusive nocturnal species the Kalahari has on offer by joining a night drive. Dinaka Safari Lodge has a fantastic window seat guarantee, which ensures all guests have optimal wildlife viewing from a vehicle with only four seats.
