Lech has an enviable reputation for its snow and averages about seven metres over the season. The Eastern Alps frequently benefit from early snow and the largely pastoral terrain does not need a hugely deep base to offer great skiing conditions. As a result, Lech frequently offers some of the best skiing in the Alps early in the season. The microclimate means that snowfalls are more prolific than in many other resorts and with plenty of skiing above 2000 metres, conditions can be great right up until the end of the season.
