Cruise the Antarctic peninsula or voyage onward to South Georgia and the Falklands
The purpose-built luxury Silver Explorer is equipped with a strengthened hull to handle both of the Earth's polar regions. Accommodating up to 132 guests in total, and with almost one crew member per guest, the attention to detail and level of service is exceptional, as you'd expect from a Silversea cruise.
The ship's expedition leaders have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure you get the most out of your time on the icy continent, with wildlife, geology and marine specialists to name a few. As well as leading shore excursions and Zodiac® trips, they hold regular talks and lectures in the ship's theatre to enrich your Antarctic experience.
The facilities on board are impressive for a ship of this size, including a spacious observation lounge, theatre, library, internet cafe, spa, fitness centre, beauty salon and two whirlpool Jacuzzis on the back deck.
All of the 66 suites on board have premium fittings, fine bed linens and all have ocean views. Each comes with butler service and a refrigerator and bar stocked with drinks of your choice.
There are two Antarctic cruises available on the Silver Explorer - a 10 day voyage exploring the Antarctic peninsula and an 18 day voyage combining the peninsula with South Georgia, Elephant island and the Falkland islands. Whichever you choose, you can be assured of awe-inspiring scenery, remote penguin-covered beaches and some unforgettable wildlife encounters. Highlights you can hope to see include albatross, elephant seals, numerous penguin species and if you're particularly lucky perhaps a humpback whale or orca!

“I love the The Grill restaurant which allows guests to enjoy lava stone cooking! When the weather allows this to take place outdoors, cooking your own food on the table at dinner is pretty special!”
