Dominic Atterton

London Office

Somewhere on a deserted Mexican beach I worked out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Since returning from my travels in Central and South America in 2004 I have never looked back and have been working hard to expand my knowledge of the best destinations and experiences that the world has to offer.

I love an adventure and getting off the beaten track, from the backstreets of Marrakech to the uncharted temples of Angkor Wat I am always on the lookout for those hidden gems that create lasting memories and really make a difference. India is a great passion, the colours, the atmosphere and the people are impossible to forget and keep me coming back again and again. Food is very high on my travel agenda and I am always full of recommendations from tiny Parisian bistros to 400 cover 24 hour buffets in Phnom Pehn and experimental foraged cuisine in Denmark. My big focus for the future is the USA, it is so vast and full of such a variety to explore that the possibilities are endless.

What my guests have said

"Great trip! Many thanks for arranging it - everything smooth as clockwork."

"Just to say thank you for putting together options for me for next summer. Our family has decided to go for the US option, so we'll be sorting that out with Camilla. Being able to chat through ideas with you and having an outline of the options in an email has made the process of finding a holiday which the whole family is happy with much more efficient than in previous years. So thanks very much."

Thanks for the help and support this year. You guys provide a great service. Best wishes to you and your team for the holidays.

"Thanks for everything Dom you're a star as always."

"Just to say thank you for organising Diamond Air and David to meet us last night. Also, to say thank you for all the support you have given us in the last few days in relation to getting home. Alongside the excellent advice and service we have always received from Scott Dunn, it reminds us why we have remained loyal and you as a company have, in turn, looked after us."

"Amazing work by Lizzie - she is a STAR along with Dominic - incredible team and we booked because of them. Best service with my changes (of the trip last minute) that I have ever had."

"Many thanks for all your help with our various trips over the last year (& coming year.....) - we are delighted with the level of knowledge & service you and the other consultants have given us."

"Dominic always looks after us even when we are being 'high maintenance'!"

"Fabulous service! Thank you so much and we wait to hear from you – both look very exciting!"

Travel nuggets

  • Think carefully about the number of locations for each trip, don’t be tempted to do too much within a short space of time. It’s impossible to cover a whole country in one trip so pick your most wanted and save the rest for next visit!

  • When planning a city break take the time to discuss restaurants and get your bookings in early, there is nothing worse than a bad meal and a great one can really make a holiday.

  • Don’t be afraid to ask. If there's something special you've always dreamed of doing, it's often possible with a little forward thinking and the right connections. Be it a cooking class with the head chef or an after hours tour of the Vatican gardens.

My hot picks

Kasbah du Toubkal, Atlas Mountains, Morocco

For something completely different in Morocco the Kasbah can’t be beaten. It may not be the most luxurious property but the incredible location and Berber hospitality more than make up for it. Try adding it on to a weekend stay in Marrakech.

It looks like you are in the USA
