Why we love Latin America in November

November is a wonderful time to explore this vast and varied continent. Latin America offers up plenty of opportunities to escape; whether you prefer sandy beaches, high-octane adventures or magical wildlife encounters. Experience striking scenery and dramatic volcanic landscapes, iconic cultural sites such as Machu Picchu with its jungle-clad peaks or even embark on a cruise around the otherworldly Galapagos Islands for an unforgettable safari-style adventure.

Where else can you experience all possible weather systems within one hour? From clear sunny skies, to light rain turning into snow, to sudden guests of strong winds. Some even claim this can happen in 15 minutes! It’s all part of what makes Patagonia such a unique and special place. November is one of our favorite times to visit as spring is in the air and the winds are calmer, the days are growing longer and the sun does not set till 9.00.

Peru is a great destination to travel to in November, as you can avoid the summer crowds and the heavier rains of the wet-season. Machu Picchu is usually shrouded in clouds in the early morning, giving it a wonderfully mystical feel.

Costa Rica

November is a fantastic time to visit – just in time to miss the Christmas crowds. Get your shopping in Miami and then head for some sun and pampering on a beautiful Costa Rican beach. The Andaz is the perfect place to kick back and relax, and to enjoy some great soft adventure, zip lining through the rain forest or hiking in the Rincón de la Vieja National Park.

November is a wonderful time to visit the Galapagos. The seas are beginning to get calmer, the water temperatures are slowly rising and there is excellent visibility for snorkeling and diving. It is also the time when the Sea lion are giving birth to their pups and the green sea turtles are displaying their mating behaviour, so you are sure to see some magical sights.
