After a delicious breakfast, board small sampans and venture through the mangroves and bamboo groves until you reach Ben Tre. Here you'll be introduced to a whole host of local artisans, using local products to create industries. Especially famous are keo dua or coconut candy, made in small local factories by boiling sweet coconut, rolling it and slicing it into bite size pieces.
The area surrounding Ben Tre is hugely rich in bird life and to return to the ship, you'll take a horse cart ride through the lush countryside. After lunch, as the ship moors off of Cho Lach Island you'll be able to witness pottery made by hand and take part in a culinary lesson learning to make Banh Xeo (traditional Vietnamese pancakes).
Return in time for your evening meal and to unwind on the deck under the stars.
