Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Both California and Hawaii are great year-round destinations. The very best time of year to travel is from April to October with the peak travel season being from June to August. In Hawaii, temperatures are high throughout the year but never excessive, as humidity levels are manageable. There is a rainy season from December to March when the scenery is at its most lush and long, hot days break up the rainy spells.

With rugged mountains, rainforests, wildlife and waves, Hawaii evokes images of a land before time and invites adventure and relaxation in abundance. Combine beaches and surf with the buzz of San Francisco and Los Angeles for the perfect family getaway.

  1. Days 1-4: California

Best accessed from west coast USA, with countless flights stopping in California, this itinerary offers a perfect combination of urban exploration and back-to-nature escapades. Your vacation will begin in San Francisco, spending three nights at uber-cool Hotel Zetta where teens will love the interactive lobby and games room. San Francisco is a great city to walk around, so spend your days exploring its distinct neighborhoods, cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, pay a visit to Alcatraz Island and even catch a baseball game.

    Accommodation: Hotel Zetta (3 nights)

  2. Days 4-7: Kauai, Hawaii, United States of America

From here, fly to Kauai where adventures can be enjoyed both on land and at sea.  Enjoy horse-riding, surfing, diving, deep-sea fishing, mountain biking or hiking and be sure to soar over the island on an exhilarating helicopter tour for spectacular bird’s eye views.

    Accommodation: Koa Kea (3 nights)

  3. Days 7-12: Hawaii

Hop over to Big Island for five nights at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Don't let appearances deceive you here - the building may not look like anything special from the outside but the location and service are fantastic, the restaurant raved-about and the rooms charming and comfortable. Her you can unwind on the crescent shaped sand that sits in front of the property and explore the ocean by catamaran. Kayaks, paddleboards and snorkeling equipment is available for guests to use and a golf course and tennis courts are there to take advantage of.  We have included a night swim with the manta rays, aonce in a lifetime experience to come up close and personal with these extraordinary gentle giants during a night time snorkel.

Accommodation: Mauna Kea Beach Hotel (5 nights)

  4. Days 12-15: California

Fly back to the mainland, this time stopping in Los Angeles for some theme park thrills.  We have included a shared Warner Bros. Studio Tour so you can discover what is behind the cameras of your favorite TV show and movies as you explore the sets of the world’s busiest motion picture and television studio.  Or you can indulge in some shopping on Rodeo Drive, visit the homes of many of the most talked about Hollywood stars on a self-guided cycling tour and enjoy a backlot tour of Universal Studios before flying back home.
