Eccentric, flamboyant and totally over the top - the Burj is one of a kind, and an iconic building on Dubai's skyline. It certainly has the wow factor, with its bright multi-coloured rooms and gold laced decor, there is a feeling of grandeur about the rooms. I'm not sure it is for everyone, however it is certainly worth heading up to the sky bar even if its just for a drink - the views over Dubai are exceptional.

From the moment you walk into the Burj Al Arab you know you are in a unique setting, from the bold colours, attention to detail and gold! This is definitely one to tick off your list and an experience!

The Burj Al Arab is decadence at it's best. Enormous one and two bedroom suites with floor to ceiling windows offer unrivalled views of the city. Service is second to none with teams of butlers dedicated to each floor of suites. A must do on anyone's bucket list.

This must rank as one of the most unique hotels anywhere! From when you enter the huge atrium, ascend on the escalator to the main lobby and are surrounded by every possible colour scheme, it can come across as gaudy, but has a fascination with it as well! The VIP service is impeccable and I would recommend it as an experience to stay here for a night or two!

The Burj Al Arab really has the wow factor! It boasts the highest hotel atrium in the world so look up when you enter! The style is very unique - the suites are opulent with rich, luxurious fabrics and all of them are duplex so you have plenty of space. The service is absolutely outstanding, with a desk manned by a butler on every occupied floor. They treat all of their guests as VIPs, so you really feel the attention to detail. If you are looking for the last word in luxury, look no further than the Burj Al Arab.

Burj al Arab is the most Dubai of the Dubai hotels and pretty funny, Flamboyant, Bling and over the top too! Should you like to experience Dubai in an extreme fashion and have some amazing and colourful photos and memories too, even for 2 or 3 days then this is the hotel to stay at or at least visit during your stay in Dubai to see the unique and perhaps slightly tacky in some peoples eyes, but definitely a place to visit in your lifetime to make you smile!
As you walk through the door to be greeted with a line-up of 5 or 6 staff (An Arabic welcome) you will see a concierge and reception desk either side in a semi-circle rainbow of Gold, escalator with fish tank on one side, inside water fountain, and an atrium 321 meters high with bedrooms surrounding this all around!
Dinner or drinks in the Sky Bar or perhaps the Seafood Restaurant with the huge fish tank as dcor is a real must and I recommend you book in advance or you may be disappointed when you arrive and they are full. I heard of many a proposal happening with a Diver going in the tank and holding up a board of will you marry me? lets just hope he gets the correct table!!

There is something unmistakably likeable about the Burj. From the moment you walk through the doors and take the escalator up into the cast atrium stretching the full length of the sale shape building you cant help but smile. Then you notice the garish dcor, carpets, shops selling gold ipad covers and gaudy restaurants yet still it feel very serene and calm because of the height and brightness within. I forgot to mention the multi coloured fountain that shoots water 40 foot into the air once every hour Rooms are all suites with floor to ceiling windows all looking out over the Arabian Gulf stretching out below. I cant say I was a fan of the dcor but I think thats almost the point. There is the Sky Bar and its restaurant Al Mutara suspended out from the main building on the top of the tower which are a must visit and also the basement seafood restaurant and its giant fish tank which I found a little disconcerting! Would I spend a week at the Burj? No, but I think everyone should go and spend a couple of nights there before moving on to somewhere a little more sane.

This is a real WOW experience! With plenty of gold plated surfaces and bright coloured carpets in the entrance lobby of the hotel there is no way that this hotel will not have a spectacular first impression for guests. The Burj Al Arab is over the top in every single way but a fantastic place to stay at the same time, especially if you are looking for something different. The hotel has been built on a small island of reclaimed land not far from the Main Beach, therefore the views from all the suites are spectacular, whether your Suite is city or sea facing. If you are enjoying a stop off of a couple of nights in Dubai, I would highly recommend the Burj; its not cheap though.
