Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Offering warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. With an average of 9 hours sunshine a day the peak season runs from December through to April which is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months where you will find an increase in rainfall as the summer season goes on and with that some humidity, however the Summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. The wettest months with the most humidity are September and October and these are the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region although many islands have not experienced hurricanes for a number of years. The average daily temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter months and mid-eighties in the summertime.

Description
Wymara Resort and Villas in Turks & Caicos is a wonderful resort choice for those seeking some privacy, beauty and peacefulness. With a fabulous pool, inviting beach and wonderful service you will not want to leave. Stay in the hotel or a private villa.
Previously known as Gansevoort Turks & Caicos, the Wymara Resort and Villas is a luxury boutique resort which brings a touch of urban chic to the island. It has a very grown up feel to it which makes it an ideal choice for couples as there tend to be very few if no families staying at the resort. There are lots of little private spaces where you can enjoy the delectable views and be waited on hand and foot.
The resort’s level of service is outstanding. Every member of staff will greet you, most by your name, there is a twice daily maid service, your beach loungers are set up for you as you desire, the concierge service will organise any excursions, reservations etc that you require. You will also receive some tasty punch and cold towels upon arrival before being given a tour to familiarise yourself with the hotel.
Wymara Resort and Villas has 91 guest rooms, suites and penthouses. They are all in within keeping of the modern décor of rest of the hotel with fresh white walls and granite bathrooms and boast breath taking views of the ocean. They also feature state-of-the-art luxury amenities to guarantee a good night’s sleep.
Stelle Restaurant follows the urban feel of the hotel with its chic décor. It serves fresh gourmet dishes in a luxurious environment. The Beach Bar and Grill serves a Mediterranean inspired menu which you can enjoy whilst watching the sun set. The hotel has a fabulous pool which the hotel is centred around, there is a 24-hour fitness centre, snorkel equipment, paddle boards, kayaks and hobie cats at your disposal. The pool chaise longues, island pods and beach beds is what we suspect you will enjoy the most, a day spent in one of these areas is utter bliss. Staff will attend to you so you barely have to leave the comfort of your lounger.
A stay at Wymara Resort and Villas will be super relaxing – luxurious guest rooms and suites, attentive and helpful staff, beautiful scenery, serene atmosphere and delicious food. What more could you want? And if you do want to exert yourself – you could always do a bit of snorkelling or paddle boarding.
Accommodation
There is a wide selection of rooms, suites and villas to choose from at Wymara Resort and Villas, all of which have some view of the sea, whether a partial or full ocean view. The suites have either one, two or three bedrooms, making them an ideal choice if travelling as a family. If you are after something really special you should consider the Oceanfront Penthouse Suite complete with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room and a private hot tub. However, the studios, if a bit smaller and without the kitchen are still rather wonderful. Bathrooms feature separate spa tubs and rain showers, there are electric black out blinds in the bedrooms, plush Frette towels and robes, LCD TVs, iPod docking stereos and complimentary WiFi. The newest addition to Wymara are the five exquisite four and five bedroom oceanfront villas each with two private pools and featuring stunning ocean views.
Childcare
Children are welcome to come and stay at Wymara Resort and Villas and the multiple bedroom suites are ideal for families. However, it must be noted that this resort tends to be very much adult focused with a peaceful atmosphere so may not be the best place to stay with children. There are other options in the Turks and Caicos that are more family orientated.
Facilities
Wymara Resort & Villas is complete with the gastronomic Stelle Restaurant and the Zest Beach Bar and Grill to keep you nourished. Stelle restaurant exudes a luxury and modern atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious meals overlooking the azure pool. Alternatively, if you are looking for something special, you can opt to dine in intimacy under the palm trees by the pool, or even on your own private floating island in the pool. The Zest Beach Bar and Grill serves sumptuous Mediterranean inspired seafood. The outdoor setting allows you to admire the spectacular sunset in the evening.
The Exhale fitness and spa provides award-winning therapies and fitness classes to help relax and revive guests. There are yoga classes and a range of treatments available. However, there are no saunas or steam rooms.
Activities
During your stay at Wymara Resort and Villas you don’t even need to leave the resort’s grounds if you don’t want to. The pool has inviting chaise lounges dotted around it as does the beach. If you want a more exclusive and private experience you can hire a pool Island Pod or a round Beach bed. The staff will be on hand to attend to your needs. If you want to do a bit of exploring, you could borrow a bicycle, go snorkelling or try your hand at paddle boarding. If you’re feeling a little competitive, there is beach volleyball equipment and footballs at your disposal. And of course, you could arrange for a massage or take part in a yoga class to revive yourself.
Reviews
Marina Voak (Staff)
The first thing that struck me about Wymara was that it had a Miami Beach vibe, very cool and chic. I had a One Bedroom Suite which was extremely spacious - you could close off the living area if you have a family staying there. There are no taps on the bath - it is filled from a hole in the ceiling - really unusual! Being at one end of Grace Bay Beach means that you do not have people from other hotels on Grace Bay tending to walk past. There is a nice atmosphere around the pool area, lovely comfy sunbeds. Lunch can be served on the beach in a smart presentation box!

"New York City meets the Caribbean" at this white beachfront resort surrounding a 7,000-square-foot infinity pool. Contemporary furniture, tile floors, and dark wenge woods outfit the "really big rooms," all of which have ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows. "It's contemporary and chic, but there's no pretension." At Stelle, dine by the pool under the palms, or on your own floating island. Modern Mediterranean cuisine with local specialties includes conch, grouper, and Caribbean spiny lobster. "Friendly staff" contribute to the "great vibe." The Exhale Spa offers reflexology and Thai stretching.
