Visit the crystal white terraces of Pamukkale, forming one of the most eye-catching sights in Turkey, and explore the ancient ruins of Afrodisias and Hierapolis.
Built by the Romans, Afrodisias is an excellent archaeological site dedicated to the Greek goddess of love. Also make a visit to Pamukkale, an impressive sites of white limestone and mineral-rich thermal pools cascading down the mountain slope. The thermal water here has been used since the Roman period for the therapeutic powers. Also visit nearby Hierapolis, a famed archeoligicalsite which blends Roman, Jewish, pagan and early Christian influences.
