Insider's View

The walkways to get to the cottages and facilities create a jungle like experience

The Surin is great for families and offer complimentary activities daily like cookie decorating for kids or lotus flower folding for adults.

To start planning your holiday to The Surin

The Surin is nestled away from the crowds on a pristine and quiet stretch of shoreline overlooking Pansea Beach on Phuket. Close enough to the chic neighbouring Surin area with just enough separation to take pleasure in a truly unique retreat.

The Surin is set amidst coconut palms on a hillside overlooking Pansea Bay, with its crystal clear waters and soft white sand.

The design elements of the property illustrate the indigenous values of Thai culture through distinctive designs, natural colour, and historical art. The textured fabrics of green, saffron, and gold are used in the cottages and are inspired by the spiritual traditions of the ‘Wat’ or temple, that is at the centre of Thai culture and community.

Indulge in a range of treatments at the renowned Surin Spa, dip your toes in the sand and savour the best of local and international cuisine, snorkel or scuba dive at the nearby reef or venture out to explore all that Phuket has to offer.

Savour authentic Thai food in a dazzling setting or a seafood dinner on the beach. Take pleasure in a casual sunset barbecue on the beach or an elaborate themed banquet complemented by a live Thai dance show. The cuisine at The Surin ranges from Asian favourites to international fine dining. With three restaurants and bars and an extensive in-villa dining selection, there is plenty of choice for every palate.

I love the accommodation units, they almost resemble wooden beach style huts! But don't worry, they are luxurious inside with lovely white decor and a choice of views. Opt for a beach or hillside one rather than the Superior Cottage which tends to have little view. Despite the beach being shared it feels anything but overcrowded, however there is a huge pool with plenty of sunbeds and staff at hand to keep you refreshed!
