  1. Days 1-2: Stockholm and Eastern Sweden

Before entering into the wilderness of Lapland begin your stay in Sweden’s capital; Stockholm. A private, guided tour through the city takes you to Stockholm City Hall and past other beautiful buildings such as the Royal Palace and the Cathedral. Built around the water, Stockholm is actually spread across 14 buildings, yet an intricate collection of bridges and a fantastic transport system make it incredibly easy to explore.

Accommodation: The Lydmar Hotel (1 night)

  2. Days 2-5: Swedish Lapland

After sampling the delights of Stockholm, a short domestic flight takes you Luleå airport, where a further hour-and-a-half transfer will take you well off the beaten track to a snowy winter wonderland and an idyllic cabin the woods. Swedish Lapland has a long tradition of logging, where huge trees would be transported downstream to reach their next destination. The remote lodges were built for the loggers to stay in whilst they were working in these remote locations. Many of these log cabins fell into disuse and have now been converted into enchanting accommodation, offering a true cabin in the woods. A stay in Swedish Lapland would not be complete without trying a typical sauna, a tradition that has spanned generations here and the perfect way to keep warm in the freezing temperatures. If you are feeling brave, you can experience the true traditional sauna and step out into the snow to cool down before heading back into the sauna.

Your exclusive three-night stay here includes a private chef, complimentary alcoholic drinks, use of the spa and outdoor hot tub and some stylish outdoor clothing to keep you warm and dry during your activities. We have also included for you a Northern Lights Photography excursion, where you’ll be taught the correct techniques to capture this wonderous light display, as well as a Nordic snowshoe tour.

    Accommodation: Loggers Lodge (3 nights)

  3. Days 5-7: Swedish Lapland

The final stop on the itinerary is a truly unique hotel, unlike any other. The Treehotel comprises of rooms suspended high above the trees- all with their own individual, quirky design. One room, the mirrorcube, is designed to perfectly reflect the wintery surroundings so it appears not to be there at all. Another resembles a UFO. All the rooms are connected by a network of walkways creating a truly individual concept. From here there is a great range of wintery activities you can take part in, from walks through the wilderness wearing snowshoes, to snowmobiling and even ice fishing.
