Housed in a historic building which dates back to 1925, the family-run El Avenida Palace combines contemporary style with classic luxury, incorporating beautifully-restored original features such as marble and brass into its design. The spectacular staircase leads to the 153 rooms and suites, which are decorated in a traditional style and offer views across Barcelona.
The Casa Llibre restaurant and cafe, named after the traditional tearooms that previously occupied the building, serves a selection of tapas and dishes in an elegant and comfortable setting. The historic tearooms opened in 1925 as a focal point of the city, before El Avenida Palace took its place in the 1950s.
The crowning feature of El Avenida Palace is the rooftop terrace, El Altillo, home to a heated swimming pool, sun loungers and fantastic views over Barcelona to the Sagrada Familia.
The 153 rooms and suites at El Avenida Palace are decorated in a classic style with traditional furnishings and bathroom amenities from Le Couvent de Minimes. The majority of rooms offer views across the city.
Children are welcome at El Avenida Palace, however there are no specific childcare facilities.
The restaurant and cafe at El Avenida Palace, Casa Llibre, serves a selection of light bites and traditional Spanish tapas in a comfortable lounge area. On the rooftop, guests can enjoy snacks and drinks by the pool.
