Cycling Wiang Khum Kham to Ban Tawai

Accompanied by your own English-speaking guide, start your adventure at Wiang Khum Kham, which is in the suburbs of Chiang Mai. Located by the Ping River, this extensive archaeological site pre-dates Chiang Mai and features many beautiful ruins. Pedal round the site learning about the history of the area and the local legends.
Cycle further out into the countryside, passing traditional teakwood houses before stopping in a park to have a quick snack of fresh fruit and a cool drink. Continue onwards to reach Ban Tawai, often referred to as the 'Village of Handicrafts'. Here you can visit workshops to see local specialist items being created, including silverware and wood carvings.
Finish the trip with an exhilarating 25km scenic bike ride along the Ping River. Keep an eye out for local fisherman, and take in the lush green countryside. Afterwards, you will be transferred by car back into the city.
It is possible to start this tour at around 8am or 1pm, and it lasts approximately four and a half hours. The road is flat and good quality tarmac.
