Travel across beautiful snowy landscapes as you make your way to a remote herder and his reindeer. During your journey you will come close to the edge of one of the largest swamps in Europe and cross the beautiful river Lainio. If you’re lucky, the reindeer herder may be out with the reindeer as they roam freely and peacefully in his forest. Take the opportunity to speak with the herder and learn about why the reindeer are such an important part of daily life in the remote north. Enjoy a cosy wilderness lunch over open fire as the gentle reindeer explore around you, looking over with curiosity.
