This itinerary is best from October to April. Temperatures at their most pleasant in the spring and autumn (September-November and March-April), but please note that travelling during the vendimia (wine harvest) typically first week in March, availability is more limited and at a premium so best to book early. January and February is peak summer when temperatures will be at their highest. May to September is 'winter' in South America with much cooler temperatures.

Begin in Santiago, Chile's cosmopolitan capital which has been undergoing a gastronomic revolution in recent years. Explore the city and enjoy a gastronomic tour around local markets, learning about the heritage of some of Chile's best dishes. Should you like to continue into the evening, we are also able to arrange dinner with a local winemaker. Alternatively, enjoy fine dining in some of the city's best restaurants and be sure to ask the sommelier to help pair your dishes with carefully selected wines for the ultimate tasting experience.
Having sampled the produce, drive out to the source today, escaping the city for Chile’s beautiful wine region. Stay at a boutique lodge, famous for producing some of the country’s best wines, enjoy a slower pace of life and sweeping panoramas. Other than fabulous wine tastings, soak up the sun by the pool, wander the vineyards, enjoy a pampering massage, hike through native forest or explore on horseback with a Chilean cowboy.
Drive back to Santiago and check in for a flight that will take you over the Andes to Mendoza, the heart of Argentina's wine lands and home to the famous Malbec grape. Stay at a wine lodge, surrounded by vineyards and in the shadow of the spectacular Andes. Continue on to your final stop, Buenos Aires, Argentina's vibrant capital with distinct neighbourhoods and ounces of charm.
