The summers are generally warm and dry, while winters tend to be wet and cool, the rains brought on by fierce north westerly gales. Neither season experiences extremes of temperature, thanks to prevailing winds. Summer (Nov-Mar) is the hottest with temperatures 20-40°C. Mid season (Apr, May, Sep, Oct) temps between 10-30°C. Winter (from June- Aug) is the low season with temps 0-25°C. The whale migration takes place between late July and early November.

Days at Cederberg Ridge will be spent enjoying a unique range of activities from cultural ancient San rock art sites, hiking trails, stunning local fynbos flowers, unique and unusual rock formations and some superb water activities during the summer months.
Cederberg Ridge Wilderness Lodge comprises 9 spacious rooms; 2 classic, 3 luxury suites and 4 superior suites to create an intimate lodge in a stunning part of South Africa. Each suite comes with outdoor showers and fireplaces as well as overlooking the wilderness area of the farm. Rooms and suites have been decorated elegantly with plenty of wood and natural textures. The Superior Honeymoon/Family Suite has a separate living room and is perfect for those after a little more privacy, or for those needing a little more space while the Two Bedroom Suite is perfect for friends travelling together, or for families with older children.
The lodge itself is made for guests to enjoy inside and out, with an onsite restaurant for delicious meals throughout the day, a sitting room, bar, library with television and a spa with treatment rooms, with the option for in-room treatments. Outside, a swimming pool provides a space to relax during warm afternoons, along with a pool terrace, garden, boules court and croquet. Sleep out decks are also available for those wishing to stay out for a night under the stars.
The majority of Cederberg Ridge's activities are focused on enjoying the great outdoors. Guests can head out on the many hiking and mountain bike trails, farm tours, flower and fynbos viewing during seasonal months, and plenty of water sports on the dam in the summer. For those after some histroy and culture, rock art excursions can be organised along with a trip along the Cederberg Heritage Trail. In the evening guests are welcome to enjoy sundowners after a busy day, and to continue the evening star gazing once the sun goes down.
