Vientiane Half Day Tour
This fascinating half-day tour of Vientiane is a great introduction into Laos and its sleepy capital. Our guide uncovers the country's relatively unknown ancient and more modern day history by taking in some of its oldest temples, such as Wat Sisaket and Wat Prakeo. The tour explores the imposing Patuxai Monument; built to resemble to Arc de Triomphe, the views offered from the top are wonderful. No tour of the city is complete without the sparkling That Luang, Laos' golden national icon. The COPE exhibition centre is where the tour concludes. This brilliantly run museum and education centre provides a gloomy but fascinating insight into Laos' more unsettled and recent history, exploring the overwhelming issue of unexploded ordinance.
