Just a short drive from Athens, the One&Only Aethesis sits on a secluded peninsula in Glyfada, once home to the Asteria Beach Club during the 1950s and 60s. Ora serves Greco-Italian inspired dishes prepared by Michelin-starred Ettore Botrini, while Paco Morales, the resort’s second Michelin-starred chef, serves imaginative tapas at the atmospheric El Bar. Breakfast can be served in-room but is worth an early morning visit to Ora, where the spread of local produce and delights is spectacular. Another highlight is Manko, delivering superb Peruvian flavours in a chic beach and poolside setting. There are several bars for enjoying a sundowner or aperitif. Settle in at Minima for the accompaniment of DJ beats. There is plenty on offer in terms of activities including a trio of pools, tennis and padel courts, fitness centre, sailing, boat trips, heritage trips into Athens and even a Greek sandal-making workshop.
