A snowshoe is a form of footwear designed for walking over the snow, making hiking and exploring in Lapland easier to navigate. Your guide will demonstrate how to use your shoes, which ensure your weight is distributed over a larger area, so you do not sink in any deep snow. This sensation is commonly known as "flotation".
You will then be taken in to the wilderness, along some local trails, to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery. You will trek through this winter wonderland enjoying the silence. During the trip, the guide will share interesting stories and information about Finnish nature and animals. On the way, we will stop to enjoy lunch and warm drinks by the open fire. This trip is perfect for photographers and nature lovers, as snowshoeing is a true eco-activity!
