Cambodian Urban and Contemporary Art
We will head out through the streets of Phnom Penh in search of the Kingdom's finest hidden murals, and street art on a curated tour.
Area
Phnom Penh
Who
Multigenerational
There has been a prominent street art scene developing in the Kingdom for the past decade, part of the country's cultural renaissance. Like most things worth having, these murals are not easy to find but fear no more, we've got you covered! We will visit several different murals around the city from local and international artists.
We will then explore Phnom Penh’s first commercial contemporary art gallery, dedicated to promoting and increasing public knowledge of the flourishing contemporary Cambodian art scene. Next stop is a gallery dedicated to spotlighting contemporary Khmer art from Cambodias' premier countryside artists.
Last stop is to our favourite cafe/ cocktail bar, nestled in a lush oasis in the heart of Phnom Penh. Here we will unwind and enjoy the murals throughout that pay homage to the animals and flora around us and the, often tender, moments they provoke.
