Amansara - Twilight Dinner at Srah Srang
At the centre of the Angkor Archaeological Park, Amansara is privileged to have its own traditional wooden house, set on stilts and overlooking the 10-12th century royal bathing pool of Srah Srang, which is fed by a natural spring. The staff will bring you there by car at dusk, to linger over cocktails on our lawns shaded by mango trees and coconut palms. You may notice the surrounding garden with its tidy beds of herbs and vegetables, some of which may later turn up on your plate. The tree-lined royal pool sets the scene for an engaging parade of local life. Relax on the veranda, listening to the house musician (and the occasional gecko) as your dedicated cook for the evening fires up the charcoal to prepare your Khmer feast.
