Set directly on Santa Bárbara Beach—one of São Miguel’s most iconic stretches of black volcanic sand—the resort is framed by dramatic Atlantic views, green mountains, and raw coastal beauty.
It was in 2015 that it all began: planted on a plot of land right on top of Santa Bárbara beach, the first eco-beach resort in the Azores opened. The starting point was the passion for that black sand beach, which contrasts almost magically with the blue of the Ocean and with the various shades of green of the mountains that serve as a backdrop. However, there are many other passions that come together in this dream: the passion for the art of hospitality, for nature, for the sea and, above all, for the Azores.
The Resort consists of a total of 30 Villas & Studios: fourteen Studios, seven 1 Bedroom Villas and nine 2 Bedroom Villas. All options have at your disposal a small equipped kitchenette, living room and a spacious balcony with comfortable armchairs, ideal for observing and absorbing the surrounding nature.
The entire construction gave priority to the use of natural materials, with a main focus on local wood (cryptomeria), cork and bamboo, as well as decorative elements that refer to the traditions of the Azores.
