Isla Ispiritu Santo
One of the most beautiful islands in the Sea of Cortez, Isla Espiritu Santo is both ecologically and scenically spectacular; a magical landscape of gleaming white beaches, waters that blend from aquamarine to azure and austere volcanic rocks dotted with pelicans and sea lions. Its protected waters are rich in marine life, with manta rays, dolphins and whales playfully leaping offshore
The hardest part of a trip to Espiritu Santo is deciding where to focus your time! Onshore the wildlife is prolific, with vultures, blue-footed boobies and oyster catchers, but offshore it’s breathtaking. Swim with sea lions, past colourful coral reefs rich in grouper, mahi mahi and colourful angelfish, and frolic with dolphins. Between December and March you may even be lucky enough to catch sight of the magnificent Whale Shark.
