Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of ‘winters’ has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain.
The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference.
High summer (July and August) means heavy discounted hotels it’s a great option for a cheap getaway but it will be very very hot and very very humid!
A stylish and opulent resort with an Arabian theme. Ideally located right on Jumeirah beach it is considered one of the best hotels in Dubai. The Royal Mirage is a great choice for families, with excellent facilities for children.
Opposite Palm Island on the golden sands of Jumeirah beach, the One&Only Royal Mirage is one of the few hotels in Dubai that has a truly Arabian feel.
The hotel’s three sections, the Palace, the Arabian Court, and the Residence and Spa feel like three smaller hotels, yet have the facilities and advantages of a much larger property. The food and service are exemplary and the style opulent and luxurious, making the Royal Mirage one of our favourite properties in Dubai. The hotel’s hammam and spa are a destination in their own right.
N.B. Dubai is a developing destination and building work is ongoing through the city. As such, guests should be aware they are more than likely to be able to view some sort of work from their hotel. However, the hotel continues to operate at a very high occupancy with a large number of repeat guests not being perturbed by the local works.
If you are returning to Dubai, please be aware that surroundings are likely to have changed since your last visit.

The beautiful gardens of the Royal Mirage really stand out from other hotels within Dubai, offering a peaceful oasis but still within a great location to visit the many attractions within Dubai. The guaranteed interconnecting rooms in the Arabian court means this is a perfect option for families. The amazing service and personal touches really allow you to relax and unwind.

I loved the Royal Mirage. It is in a great location on Jumeirah Beach, yet feels a world away from the hustle and bustle. The service is superb, and starts from the moment you arrive and are greeted with the sound of the gong to announce your arrival! Families are well looked after here with a great children's club, and unusually for Dubai, the guarantee of interconnecting rooms in the Arabian Court part of the hotel.

The One & Only Royal Mirage is a really lovely option for those looking to be on Jumierah Beach. The hotel is split into 3 parts and it can cater for all groups. Id suggest the Arabian court for families as the main part of the childrens club is located there and they can guarantee connecting options at time of booking. The service is extremely good and youll definitely feel well looked after when you are there!

One&Only Royal Mirage offers great value for a top quality resort. Having 3 distinct areas, the Arabian Court offers the best accommodation for families with interconnecting rooms being guaranteed at time of booking! There is also an adult only pool to escape to at the Palace if you want to switch off.

Set on Jumeirah Beach the One&Only Royal Mirage certainly lives up to its reputation. With 3 different hotels there is definitely something for everyone, whether you are a couple, family or perhaps travelling on your own wanting to experience Dubai.
Arabian Court is traditional Arabian style and great for families as interleading rooms for the family can be guaranteed. They also have a Kids Club on site for 4-11 years so parents can relax and enjoy themselves whilst they know their little ones are being well looked after. This hotel also has all of the watersports should you like to try your hand at a number of different fun activities!
The Residence & Spa is a little more suited to couples, with a boutique feel. I would say this is the perfect choice for guests wanting to spend a little more and have a higher end of service and style. They have a beautiful spa too.
The Palace features gold throughout and is a little more modern than the Arabian Court. This is a great choice for couples and families who don't quite have the budget for the Residence & Spa but like the higher end. Interleading rooms are upon request only, so you might prefer the Arabian Court which is guaranteed with the Kids Club & watersports.

The hotel is split into three sections depending on what youre looking for. The Arabian court works brilliantly for families with its connecting rooms and excellent facilities. The Palace is a grander and less understated option full of gold leaf and marble and the Residence and Spa is perfect for those looking for a bit more peace and quiet in really lavish surroundings. All three hotels are connected by beautiful winding gardens and you really do feel like youre a million miles from the rest of the hulking Jumeirah Beach hotels. If you want to live like a real sheik then there are also a number of private villas available for a truly special occasion.

The Royal Mirage is a wonderful destination for winter sun, all the staff are so charming and helpful we look forward to returning again. Our daughter especially loves the water sports available and that there have always been other young people her age to socialise with. Love that there are so many different cuisines & dining venues to choose from. The dinner buffet in main restaurant at the Arabian Court, The Rotisserie is excellent if you want to keep to half board and don't want to spend extra on a la carte - for children it is great as there is so much to choose from and the court yard with it's fairylight lit trees and alcoves make a great setting.
We love the rooftop bar for post dinner drinks and the jetty bar for sunset drinks although it does get very busy past 5.30 - you can book a booth for 10 if you are meeting friends. A delicious light lunch at the Eau Zone on the beachside with a glass of the fantastic Sancerre Rose has become daily ritual for us! We love eating outside as we have such a long cold winter to endure back home and our favourite venues for our evening meal are Eau Zone poolside or an at the Beach Bar & Grill although I must say the new menu at Nina's is very very good. We are missing it all already!

With three separate hotels inside the main resort, the Royal Mirage is not short on space. Each of the hotels has extensive grounds with beautifully manicured gardens and mature palm trees, giving the sense of a calm, relaxing space away from the main city. Arabian Court sits at the heart of the resort and is the most traditional in style, with domes, dramatic marble hallways with lots of Middle Eastern artefacts. Whilst the general feel is classic opulence it feels tastefully done at the same time. The pool area is smart and well attended and you don't have to wander far for lunch. The Palace and Residence are both a short ride by private internal chauffeured bus and offer a more relaxed experience, with the Residence in particular designed for wellness.
Arabian Court and The Palace both work very well for families, and whilst the hotel has a good number of rooms, it is large enough to never feel crowded. I really liked it, and certainly for a getaway for some guaranteed sun and relaxation with first class service, the Royal Mirage is a great choice.
