  • The only resort in Dubai to guarantee interconnecting rooms in advance of arrival - perfect for families

  • The resort is next to the trunk leading to Palm Island and looks out to Palm Island Bay and the island beyond

Opposite Palm Island on the golden sands of Jumeirah beach, the One&Only Royal Mirage is one of the few hotels in Dubai that has a truly Arabian feel.

The hotel’s three sections, the Palace, the Arabian Court, and the Residence and Spa feel like three smaller hotels, yet have the facilities and advantages of a much larger property. The food and service are exemplary and the style opulent and luxurious, making the Royal Mirage one of our favorite properties in Dubai. The hotel’s hammam and spa are a destination in their own right.

N.B. Dubai is a developing destination and building work is ongoing through the city. As such, guests should be aware they are more than likely to be able to view some sort of work from their hotel. However, the hotel continues to operate at a very high occupancy with a large number of repeat guests not being perturbed by the local works.

If you are returning to Dubai, please be aware that surroundings are likely to have changed since your last visit.

The One&Only Royal Mirage is made up of three resorts within one: The Palace, Arabian Court and The Residence and Spa. The Palace is a regal domain where guests wander amidst abundant gardens and stroll amongst the meandering water features and streams. The Arabian court has 160 Deluxe Rooms (Including Twin and King) which are slightly bigger than those at the Palace and 10 elaborately styled suites. All of the rooms have a private balcony and face the sea and the Arabian Court’s 500m of beach front. The Residence is an intimate and secluded sanctuary for guests who want the ultimate in luxury and privacy. Its 28 Prestige Rooms, 16 Junior Suites, 4 Executive Suites and 1 Garden Villa are all sea facing with a private balcony. With its own restaurant and pool reserved only for guests staying at the residence, it truly is a secluded experience. All rooms are sea-facing and feature rich furnishings with vivid colours, echoing the warmth of the Arabian Gulf, while soft tones recall the desert landscape. Bathrooms are adorned with wood, marble and slate, with generous bath and shower areas. All rooms feature enhanced technology with a 40" LCD TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and high-speed internet access.

When to travel

The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of ‘winters’ has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain.

The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference.

High summer (July and August) means heavy discounted hotels it’s a great option for a cheap getaway but it will be very very hot and very very humid!
