Description
Hotel Boutique Sazagua, situated in the heart of Colombia's coffee region in the Central Andes is wonderfully decorated with an eclectic mix of furniture, bright colours and art collected throughout Colombia's history.
Hotel Boutique Sazagua has a wonderful location on the outskirts of Pereira, half way between the Cocora Valley and the main coffee plantations around Chinchina. The name Sazagua pays homage to the indigenous people who once inhabited the area.
Explore the nearby coffee plantations and learn about the whole coffee making process. Colombia really does know a thing or two about coffee!! There are also other activities available in the area, such as rafting, horse riding, visiting the botanical gardens, and the Los Nevados National Park, which is home to the majestic Nevado del Ruiz volcano.
The hacienda is set in lush gardens full of tropical plants and exotic birds and has an inviting outdoor pool. For relaxation guests can also indulge in a pampering spa treatment or take a dip in the Jacuzzi.
There are just 10 suites at Sazagua, including a slightly larger junior suite, and 5 villas. All the rooms are individual in style and decked out with local furniture and art work, dark woods and colourful textiles. Villas come with a small private garden and Jacuzzi.
The service is very attentive, the staff are personable and all keen to share the knowledge of the area to ensure you get the most out of your stay. The cuisine is inspired by traditional recipes with a creative twist.

Reviews
Sonia Bungaroo (Staff)
The service here really elevates this small boutique property to something incredibly special. Whilst the hotel itself is quite small, and the rooms a refined, yet fairly basic take on the traditional hacienda style of the area, the pure warmth and attentiveness of the staff at Sazagua make this an incredibly memorable place to stay. Perfect for those who want to experience the beauty of the coffee region in a relaxed manner, this is the perfect oasis, with its regular hummingbird visitors, great food - and even more excitingly creative menu - its a great base for all coffee tasting experiences, as well as exploring the traditional towns and national parks of the region.

After a wonderful warm welcome from owner Amelia, we relaxed and enjoyed a drink in the lovely garden. Dinner was delicious and beautifully presented and there was a great choice of wines. My suite was huge and the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring the coffee region!
