Pantanal

Though the Amazon has the famous name, it’s the Pantanal that offers up the best wildlife spotting opportunities thanks in part to its less dense foliage and vast wetlands. Lush open marshlands provide a rich and fertile home for jaguars, jabiru storks and anacondas while the brilliant green of the trees is dotted with splashes of colour from toucans, parrots and macaws.

Pantanal

The Pantanal’s open spaces lend themselves to horseback riding, 4WD excursions, and hiking through grassland savannahs, or canoeing along its many waterways, fishing for piranha or spotting jaguar lazily stretched out in the sun.
