Melbourne enjoys a temperate climate with warm summers, balmy and mild spring and autumn and cool winters. The main summer season is from December-February and the quietest time of the year is the Aussie winter June-August. However, as Melbourne plays host to many international sporting events as well as fashion weeks and international conferences, it is always a good idea to book in advance and check to find out what is happening in the city when you are looking to book.

With views over Fitzroy Park, slightly up on the hill above the city, this gives it a very fresh feel. Accommodation is slightly dated and interiors are a bit dark. Having said that, this is one of my preferred hotels in Melbourne with lovely spacious accommodation with exceptional personal service. The staff are very welcoming. The restaurant food is exceptional too and there is a good spa and the pool is the longest indoor pool in Melbourne.
