Not only is South Africa’s Kwandwe Private Game Reserve home to all of the big five animals but also an array of endangered animals, ideal for educating children about conservation. Ecca’s stunning location affords incredible views across the savannah whilst its interiors are modern and the dedicated children’s playroom is bound to keep youngsters entertained for hours.
Madikwe Safari Lodge, situated in the non-malarial Madikwe Game Reserve, is ideal for kids. Each of the lodge’s suites has its own plunge pool meaning youngsters can spend hours dipping, diving and dunking in the pool whilst parents can relax without even having to leave the room. Madikwe sits at the intersection of five distinctive habitats, so benefits from a diverse number of safari experiences on the doorstep.
Whilst Azura Selous has a reputation as one of the most luxurious camps in the area, it is a brilliant destination for families too. Not only are there a range of traditional and non-traditional safari experiences on offer to keep children entertained but with a large communal area, kids can feel at home relaxing by the pool. Azura Selous runs a children’s programme where kids are taken on amazing adventures into the bush, learning how to track animals, how to make fire and fish in the river.
Situated in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy of Kenya, Lewa Wilderness Camp is a brilliant option thanks to the unique safari adventures it offers.
