Traveling is in my blood and from an early age I traveled through Europe, USA and Asia. A visit to Cairo for my 18th birthday present kick started my love of the Middle East and ultimately led me to moving to live and work there. My passion still is in the Middle East but I have traveled all over Asia for both vacations and work.
Having lived, worked and traveled in the Middle East, visiting every country from Yemen in the south, to Palestine in the north and everything in between. My favorite country in the region remains Oman due to its amazing diversity from beaches to mountains and desert. A country of amazing people with history and culture, wildlife and incredible natural beauty. Over the past years I have traveled extensively through Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe. India is another country I love and I have visited annually for over ten years constantly learning about this incredible country. It is a place which fills and excites the senses thanks to its sounds, sights, vibrant colors, amazing food, not forgetting its incredible wildlife. With Scott Dunn I am surrounded by people who share this love of travel.
Favourite places I've been
At the Alila in Jabal Al Akhdar in Oman wake up early morning and take a village walk through the terraces and try the local rose water. Early morning it is quiet and peaceful and you have amazing views of the canyon and mountains.
At Ras Al Jinz in Oman, book the early morning turtle walk - most people book the evening walk which can be crowded - few people want to get up at 5am - you can be alone on the beach with only an expert and the turtles!
When staying at Old Harbour Cochin - visit the Kashi Art Cafe owned by the hotel for great coffee, snacks and art work!
During a visit to Windermere Estate - join the tea tasting ceremony at Windermere and try the Cardamon Tea, it's amazing!
Book a massage at the Spa at the Coconut Lagoon in Kerala - the perfect remedy after you have traveled in the car for 6 hours from Munnar!
