Don't take our word for it: find out what one of our guests had to say about her experience staying in a Scott Dunn villa, when she went to stay there with her family in summer 2010.
Maggie and her family stayed in Las Palmeras and this is her report on her experience.
"We've been on many family vacations, but I found we returned to London just as exhausted as when we left! But then Scott Dunn proved me wrong about family escapades.
It started with a phone call from our villa host to discuss my kids’ dietary requirements and my cravings at the moment (I'm pregnant so instant brownie points!). He then gave me his mobile number in case there were any essentials we needed before arriving. Our host also assured me the villa came equipped with a fully stocked playroom, so no toys to pack - lovely.
Waiting to greet us at the Villa was our lovely host, a very cheerful chef and our resident nanny, Amy. We sat down to a delicious Spanish tapas lunch, so no worrying about where the local supermarket was, or what to cook. With its huge garden and pool the kids cavorted all afternoon with any sunscreen, snack or water requests taken care of by Amy (another thing off my list!). Hubby and I relaxed on the deck and I had a kip.
Our days began with a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, smoothies, cereal and pancakes, and in the evening we couldn’t wait to get back to the villa for three courses of local fare.
It’s the little things - if dinner was something unadvisable to eat whilst pregnant my plate always had an alternative without me having to utter a word!
Amy was available to us for up to eight hours each day, and the playrooms had a variety of activities from board games and crafts to DVDs. Not to mention a outdoor toys and inflatables for the pool. At the end of each session Amy gave me a sheet showing what the kids had done, how many times they had water, sunscreen and snacks etc… so impressed.
At one point I did feel slightly guilty as I watched my kids splashing about and my husband sleep. I wondered what I should be doing and realised the answer was… nothing! Moments like these are rare and utterly priceless in the life of a mother and well worth the investment when it comes to a vacation.
I can honestly say for the first time in my ten-year parenting history that I have arrived home relaxed without the wish for another vacation to recover from this one!”
