Take a look at the ideas below, then contact our travel specialists for a customized family adventure.
Idea 01: Beaches, reefs and friendly giants in the Seychelles
Live barefoot for a week on miles of powder-white beach. Take your children cycling down to secluded beaches, wander through the coconut groves, go diving in the coral reef, and watch out for the island’s giant friendly tortoises and sea turtles. You can explore Mahé by boat, go snorkeling, and enjoy unbeatable sunsets. There are children’s clubs at some properties if you’d like to have one available.
Idea 02: Big game and beaches in South Africa and Mauritius
Kwandwe Private Game Reserve on South Africa is malaria-free, making it ideal for your children’s first safari. Afterwards, you could journey along the Garden Route, enjoying horse-riding, mountain-biking and quad-biking along the way. Next, you could go to Grootbos Private Nature Reserve for African penguins, cape fur seals, great white sharks and dolphins. Round off your vacation with a visit to the sheltered beaches of Mauritius, where watersports and children’s clubs are available too.
Idea 03: Pyramids and the Red Sea in Egypt
Introduce your children to the wonders of Egypt. One adventure could start in Cairo, a city of many faces. Here you could explore the busy spice bazaars and mosques that fill the medieval city, glass and steel towers that dot the Nile, elegant colonial architecture and the ancient Pyramids at Giza, before heading to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. After this, a visit to the coast is recommended. Some of the best snorkeling and diving in the northern hemisphere can be found in the Red Sea.
Idea 04: Mayan mysteries and beautiful beaches in Mexico
After exploring Mexico City for a few days, venture into the heart of the Yucatan Peninsula and explore ancient Mayan ruins hidden in the jungle. Your children will no longer play in a make-believe world – this one is equally enthralling. Afterwards, you could spend some time relaxing as a family on the Mexican coast where you’ll find miles of white powder sand and crystal blue water.
Idea 05: Wildebeest and ocean waves in Kenya
Take a walk on Africa's wild side with a safari in the Maasai Mara, before finishing the adventure with a week on the beach. The Maasai Mara is a vast game reserve famous for its incredibly game-rich plains where huge herds of wildebeest graze, and your children can spot the "big five" game. Next, head to Kizingoni beach and your own fully-staffed house with private pool, and a boat complete with skipper for the week.
