ESF are the largest and most well-known ski school across the whole of the French Alps. They service Courchevel 1550, 1650 and 1850 and will take children from the age of 3 to start their ski lessons. Being the largest ski school in France does mean that sometimes they can lack that personal touch us Brits enjoy but the level of their tuition does not lack anything. All of their Instructors are of the highest level and to ensure this all of their Instructors have to pass vigorous testing, even more so than the British equivalent qualification, before they are let loose on the general public.
RTM are specialist British Snowboard Instructors who all hold the top British BASI Qualifications and have the full French equivalence. They are also qualified to take you off-piste, in the freestyle park, split-board touring and in the backcountry, making them the highest standard of Instructors. RTM are the only Snowboard-specific Instructors in Courchevel, many other “snowboard” instructors are actually ski instructors who teach snowboarding on the side.
