Idea 01: Australia
From city lights to starry nights in the mountains, start in Sydney with a view of the Opera House. Charter a private yacht, try surf lessons at Bondi beach or fly in a seaplane up the spectacular coast. From the city to a natural paradise, on Lord Howe Island discover unspoiled beaches, a stunning lagoon and fabulous snorkeling. In the Blue Mountains, kangaroos and koalas appear all around you. Go horse-riding, take a four-wheel drive across the dramatic plains or simply relax by your private pool.
Idea 02: Kenya
Escape to the heart of the African bush to play ‘spot the big five’ before venturing to coral reefs, mangrove forests and blissful beaches. Witness elephant, oryx and cheetah on a game drive before a barbecue by the pool at sunset. On Lamu Island, experience perfect sea views and sunsets. There’s even a captain on hand for boat trips. Take a dip in your pool, swim with dolphins, go fishing, picnic on the beach and simply bask in the remoteness of it all.
Idea 03: Egypt
Maths, history and art come to life for your children when they encounter Egypt’s famous pyramids. Throw in a camel ride and they’ll be laughing their way around this great wonder of the world. After they’ve written their names in hieroglyphics, return to Cairo for a cooling swim in your pool. Next, take a Felucca ride down the Nile into the Valley of the Kings, where stories of ancient Pharaohs still hang in the air. Your final stop is the Red Sea, where your children can snorkel through a rainbow of corals and fish.
Idea 04: Sri Lanka
There’s no shade of green quite like Sri Lanka’s lush paddy fields. Your children can experience new heights with an elephant ride before swapping majestic mammals for mountain bikes amongst the tea plantations. Try white-water rafting before a cup of tea fresh from the land. On your way to the ocean, stop off for a unique safari, waking up surrounded by Sri Lanka’s magnificent wildlife. After leopards come turtles and dolphins on the coast. Enjoy the spa, go scuba-diving or lie in the sun as the sea shimmers in front of you.
Idea 05: Kerala and the Maldives
From backwaters to blue waters, this adventure starts in Kerala. Take a walk around the harbor to see the chinese fishing nets and the markets, before moving on to the hills. Here, your children can ride elephant through the rubber, spice, cocoa and coffee plantations. No trip to Kerala is complete without exploring the magical backwaters, so we suggest a night on a houseboat, floating through the maze of canals and lagoons. The Maldives is pure heaven after Kerala’s adventures. Your private garden and plunge pool are shaded by tropical flora. Spread out on the beach and enjoy fabulous diving.
