Enjoy a full day boat excursion to Taquile located on Lake Titicaca which is inhabited by two thousand Quechua speaking Indians. Admire the famous textiles and ancient communal way of life combined with the floating reed islands of the Uros Islands.

The floating islands of Uros are a major draw to visitors to Lake Titicaca and it's easy to see why. You will be introduced to the local Uro-Aymara communities, learning about their expert weaving techniques which have been passed down from generation to generation to create the islands, boats and canoes which form their homes and livelihoods. Your guide will help translate and explain more about the Quechua heritage and culture, as well as the beautiful textile weavings which form part of UNESCO's Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity shortlist. Lunch will be served with the spectacular backdrop of the lake and Bolivia's Cordillera Real mountain range in the distance.
