Days 1-4: Rio de Janeiro
Arriving in Rio, a city that pulses to samba beats, begin your vacation with three nights here, soaking up the atmosphere and exploring its key sights. Stay at a wonderfully located, family-friendly property on one of Rio's most famous beaches. Rio is great fun for all ages, and children will love the incredible beaches, the buzz of Lapa's street market, exploring the Tijuca rainforest, standing side by side with Christ the Redeemer, visiting the home of the beautiful game at Maracana football stadium and taking a ride up the Sugar Loaf in a cable car, James Bond-style.
Accommodation: Sofitel Ipanema (3 nights)
-
Days 4-6: Iguassu
Next, fly to the Iguassu Falls, and the incredible spectacle of one of nature's must-see sights. Nearly three hundred separate falls power down through the rainforest and will leave you speechless. There is plenty for families to do here besides the falls, and you might want to visit the bird and butterfly parks, take a jet boat to the base of the falls, or soar above them in a helicopter, perfect for those bird’s eye views.
Accommodation: Belmond Hotel das Cataratas (2 nights)
-
Days 6-11: Praia do Forte
The glorious beaches of Bahia make for a perfect way to end your vacation, and we have suggested Tivoli Ecoresort in Praia do Forte, an excellent hotel set right on the beach with a wide range of activities for all the family, from the superb spa to tennis courts and nine pools, delicious cuisine, and excursions to visit to the turtle-nesting beach, seasonal whale watching and exploring the nearby mangrove lagoons. There is also a kid’s club and babysitting to take care of little ones.
Accommodation: Tivoli Ecoresort Praia do Forte (5 nights)
