Learn to cook in a unique setting at Tutka Bay
Cooking classes take place across a lagoon from the lodge, on the Widgeon II, a re-purposed crabbing boat which was originally a World War II troop carrier. The unique setting of the cooking school offers inspiration to explore Alaska’s regional products and local Alaskan seafood such as halibut, salmon, crab and famous Kachemak Bay oysters. The best of Alaska’s seasonal ingredients are gathered, including home grown vegetables, berries, mushrooms, Alaska honey and other local fare.
