Relaxed and welcoming
Breezes Beach Club is a friendly, relaxed and comfortable hotel, set on one of Zanzibar's best beaches. The beach, though tidal, is a fantastic stretch of white sand where you can walk for miles.
The hotel is designed and furnished in a typical Zanzibari style, with plenty of local colour and flare. The 72 air-conditioned rooms and suites are all set in the beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the beach.
The rooms are cleverly positioned into separate cottages spread around pretty gardens filled with colourful bougainvillea plants and palm trees. Each cottage consists of four Deluxe Rooms on the ground floor and two Suites above which have a larger bathroom and spacious balcony. The clever design means there is not one large block of rooms and the hotel feels smaller and more intimate. To the back of the property are ten standard rooms, all on the ground-floor. There is also a villa which contains two interconnecting deluxe rooms with a central living room.
There are two restaurants and the cuisine features local spices and delicacies from the Indian Ocean as well as international cuisine. There are three bars, a chai lounge and a beachfront restaurant open for lunch each day. You can also book to have a romantic dinner on the beach under the stars.
Guests looking for total relaxation of the mind and body can enjoy the Frangipani Spa which provides a blissful and tranquil setting as well as a wide range of treatments. There is a large swimming pool and plenty of sunloungers, whether you want to find a spot in the shade or the sun.
For those looking to be more active, there is a great watersports centre where you can organise boat trips, snorkelling, diving, kite surfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin trips, sailing and much more! There is also a small gym and a flood-lit tennis court.
