Taylor’s is known as one of the greatest port shippers, located in the heart of the historic area of Vila Nova de Gaia, across the river from the old city centre of Oporto, and housing most of the company’s extensive reserves of wood-aged Port as well as its Vintage Port cellars. You will receive a guided tour of the long, cool cellars and dark warehouses, with their thick granite walls and high ceilings helping to keep out the heat and maintain an even temperature throughout the year. This ensures that the wines age slowly, gradually acquiring the sublime, complex flavours and aromas of maturity. Leading to the cellars below, tunnels that are housing the Vintage Port, where you will be privileged to experience the traditional opening of the Vintage Port with hot tongs and enjoy an exclusive wine tasting session.
