The Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel is located in the village of Aguas Calientes at the foot of the Machu Picchu, and offers 60 spacious guest rooms and suites. It offers a perfect base from which to visit the awe-inspiring ruins and lost city of Machu Picchu.

Set on the banks of the Vilcanota River, the Sumaw Machu Picchu Hotel is designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscapes. Guests can enjoy the gorgeous setting, with its lush vegetation, green valleys, waterfalls and ancient trails. The hotel's luxury interiors reflect Inca culture, traditions and Peruvian craftsmanship with Alpaca fibre blankets and fine cotton linens. The hotel is located within the Machu Picchu's historical sanctuary and the hotel provides a shuttle to Machu Picchu itself.

The hotel features a bar where you can enjoy traditional Peruvian drinks such as pisco sours, and there is a restaurant which draws upon traditional Peruvian and Andean cuisine, fusing them with modern culinary techniques to create unique and interesting dishes. The restaurant also benefits from panoramic views to best take in your surroundings. Guests can even take part in Peruvian cooking lessons with the resident chef, learning signature dishes such as Ceviche. Enjoy a meal at their on site restaurant or walk around town, the best areas are right outside your hotel. With rooms offering views of the Urubamba river, nature lovers will rejoice as you can listen to the sounds of the river all day. Step out on to your private balcony to take in the magnificent views or tuck yourself away in a bath. SUMAQ is the perfect place to rest your head during your time in Machu Picchu.
