Aqaba

Aqaba sits right in the south of Jordan, close to the border with Israel and Saudi Arabia, looking towards Egypt across the Gulf of Aqaba. The city's location on the Red Sea makes this the best spot in the country for some beach time, as well as a great opportunity for snorkelling and diving. It is also within easy reach of two of Jordan's other gems; Petra and Wadi Rum.

Aqaba

Whilst the beaches here are fairly narrow, and not as glamorous as those found on the Red Sea in Egypt, Aqaba does offer more of a traditional 'sun and sand' experience versus the Dead Sea to the north. It is warm year-round, with temperatures rarely dropping below 20 degrees Celsius (68 Fahrenheit), even in winter.
