Take to the winding roads of Bali in a colourful classic VW 181 convertible from the 1960s.
First you will head to Pura Kehan, near Bangli. This temple dating back to the 11th Century is a must, widely considered one of Bali's most beautiful temples. Notice the mythical dragon that guards the temple's entrance, warding off any evil spirits.
Next to Penglipuran, surrounded by lush green plantations and bamboo forests. This is a Bali Aga village, where villagers follow the rules and traditions set down by their ancestors. Learn about the villagers simple everyday lives before heading to Kintamani.
Your next stop takes you to Kintamani, a small village perched on the caldera rim of a huge volcano. Enjoy this photo opportunity and marvel at the wonder of nature before moving on to Gunung Kawi Sebatu.
10km north of Ubud, Gunung Kawi Sebatu is an ancient Hindu temple which, surrounded by lush greenery, evokes a sense of tranquillity. Explore the temple and neighbouring rice terrace near Tegalalang.
On your way back to your hotel, you will make your final stops at two artisan villages. In Mas encounter intricate wood carvings, before continuing to Tohpati, famous for its batik fabrics.
