1. Days 1-2: Anchorage

   Fly into Anchorage to begin your journey and overnight before your adventure begins.

2. Days 2-5: Kenai Peninsula

   The next morning, set off by private floatplane to the beautiful Tutka Bay Lodge. Sheltered in Kachemak Bay by forested mountains and picturesque fjordland, Tutka Bay offers a chance to experience a more local side to Alaska. This family-run lodge is the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and sample some amazing fishing, kayak alongside whales and sea otters and hike the surrounding trails, simply enjoying the peace of the peninsula. Tutka Bay also runs a highly-acclaimed cookery school - learn to make traditional Alaskan cuisine using freshly caught ingredients or simply reap the rewards at meal times, tucking into delicious dinners made by the highly trained team at the lodge.

3. Days 5-8: Denali and Alaskan Wilderness

   From Tutka Bay you will fly north to Winterlake Lodge, the sister property of Tutka Bay which offers the same attentive service, homely atmosphere and activities to suit all tastes. The flight over takes about 70 minutes and will sweep you past mountains and forests to enjoy enviable views before landing on the water right in front of the lodge. A stay here includes guided hiking, kayaking and nature walks as well as at least one helicopter excursion, making it easy to reach nearby glaciers and ridges, fishing hubs and picnic spots where you are unlikely to see another soul for miles. Go on the lookout for bears and moose, raft along the Happy River or even try your hand at dogsledding for something truly Alaskan.

4. Days 8-12: Denali and Alaskan Wilderness

   Following three nights here you will return by float plane to Anchorage and change into your small bush plane, this time heading east to McCarthy, the entry-point into Wrangell St.Elias National Park. 

   Wrangell St. Elias is the size of Switzerland and due to its inaccessibility, it remains largely undiscovered. Staff from Ultima Thule will greet you in McCarthy and fly you to the lodge in their very own bi-planes, starting you off on your adventure. Prepare to explore areas of the park where literally no-one has set foot before as you soar over mind-blowing landscapes; dazzling blue pools contrast with the white of the glaciers and fields of blueberries extend in the shadows of the jagged mountain ranges. Everything is completely customisable during your stay and excursions are weather-dependent to ensure safety as you fly from location to location, hiking, picnicking, rafting and fishing to your heart's content, accompanied by your personal guide. Guides at the lodge have been flying for years and know the park like the back of their hands so whatever the weather they can plan accordingly and ensure your stay is unforgettable.

5. Days 12-13: Anchorage

   After four nights in this magical place, return to Anchorage via McCarthy for a final night before flying back home.
