Best of West Bank
Take a morning motorboat into the West Bank. Explore 3 tombs in Valley of the Kings, Hatchepsut Temple, King Tutankhamun's Tomb and Queen Nefertari's Tomb. Time permitting, you can also explore another 3 tombs in the Valley of the Queens.
After breakfast, take a motorboat to cross the Nile River into the West Bank, where your vehicle will be ready to take you around the West Bank. (If you are based in Al Moudira or another hotel in the West Bank, your vehicle will pick you up directly from your hotel.)
For over a thousand years, the kings of the New Kingdom (1500–1070 BC) were buried in the Valley of the Kings. You will cover four tombs in the Valley of the Kings, including one of the famed King Tutankhamun himself, where his mummy and sarcophagus are still kept.
Afterwards, continue to Queen Hatshepsut's Temple, which was built by her and dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra.
Next, we bring you to one of Luxor's best kept secrets: the Tomb of Nefertari, which contains some of the best preserved and most eloquent hieroglyphs of any Egyptian burial site. The wall pictogram drew inspiration from the Book of the Dead while narrating stories of the Queen's life and her death. (Due to preservation efforts, the ticket allows permission to enter the tomb for a maximum of 10 minutes.)
Depending on how long you spend in each tomb, time permitting, you can explore up to another three tombs in the Valley of the Queens, where wives of Pharaohs were buried in ancient times.
