Quanzhou is also one of the first historic cultural cities to be approved by the Chinese government for its enduring cultural practices such as Liyuan Opera, Puppet Show, Gaojia Opera, Dacheng Opera, Nanyin, Quanzhou Shaolin Five Ancestors Fist and Yongchun Martial Arts. There are also plenty of tourism sites such as Qing Yuan Mountain, Scholar Street, East Lake and West Lake Parks.
