For guests who like an informal atmosphere yet still enjoy first class service, Long Beach Lodge is the perfect choice. Nestled on the edge of the beach at Cox Bay, the long stretches of beautiful sandy beach are within easy reach and make for fantastic family beachcombing adventures.
The lodge offers its own marine adventure cruises to explore surrounding Clayoquat Sound, head off to find some whales or do some fishing. The vessel is available for guests to hire out exclusively during their stay and the crew will be happy to tailor the cruise to each individual guests needs and wants.
The big draw for many to Long Beach Lodge is the Surf Club. Renowned as the highest quality surf experience in the area, the friendly instructors are happy to teach anyone aged 6 years or over. Each two and a half hour lesson is customized to the individual needs of the student and all of the instructors are certified by the Royal Lifesaving Society of Canada, so you are ensured to be in safe hands. If you are already an accomplished surfer, just come and get kitted out with board, wetsuit and booties and head out into the water.
For those who prefer to stay on dry land, the village of Tofino is only 7kms away and offers arts and crafts shops, shops, cafes and restaurants, ready to be explored.
Back at the lodge, the Great Room offers a warm welcome after a day on the beach or out exploring with a varied menu of sumptuous goodies for healthy appetites.
For accommodations, stay in the beachfront lodge or settle in to one of the cosy rainforest cottages, perfect for families who would like their own space and don't want to worry about sandy shoes on the carpet. Each with two bedrooms, kitchen, cosy lounge and even a hot tub on the balcony, they are perfect for some family together time.

Day 1 - Farewell Harbour Lodge
On your first day at Farewell Harbour, you'll arrive at the lodge by water taxi from Alder Bay. After a welcome orientation and lunch, you'll head off by boat in search of marine wildlife on the Johnson Strait.
Day 2 - Farewell Harbour Lodge
Today will be a wildlife viewing day to remember as you head out by boat to on your first full day bear viewing adventure to one of the main grizzly viewing estuaries.
Guided 1-hour Zodiac Nature Tour at Sonora
Go on an adventure in Sonora's 28-foot Eaglemaster. Kitted out with all the gear and headphones, communicate with your guide as you whiz through channels and whirlpools in search of porpoises, dolphins, orca whales and bald eagles swooping down to feed.
Whistler Bear Viewing Tour
