Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Late autumn (September to November) and early spring (February to April) are the best time to visit, with daytime temperatures in the 20's and low 30's Celsius. You can also go in midwinter (December to January) if you don't mind the chilly nights (typically 5-10 Celsius). Midsummer (June to August) is best avoided, as blistering temperatures climb to the high 30's.
Insider's View
To start planning your holiday to Desert Luxury Camp
Description
Desert Luxury Camp is a peaceful and secluded tented camp in Erg Chebbi. With just five en-suite tents in the main camp, a stay here offers an exclusive experience in the heart of the Moroccan desert.
For guests wishing to experience the true Sahara, Desert Luxury Camp offers a remote and peaceful setting, nestled among the rolling sand dunes. This is the perfect spot to switch off from the distractions of daily life and listen to the calm serenity of the desert.
There just are 5 luxury desert sleeping tents set up in the main camp and each tent has been carefully design to offer comfort and luxury in this remote location. The tents radiate through earthy hues with hand-crafted furniture and soft textiles adorning the floors and walls. All tents feature modern comforts with double or twin beds, a seating area and an en suite bathroom with a shower, flushing toilet and hand basin with running cold and hot water.
Around the camp there are a number of areas set for relaxation with fabulous views of the desert and sand dunes. The comfortable tented restaurant offers traditional 3 course meals serving comforting local dishes.
As night falls, the camp comes alive with camp-fires and lanterns as you relax, listening to the gentle music against the silence of your surroundings. At night you can choose to sleep with your tent open, so you can gaze out to the starry sky and soft shadows of the sand dunes as your rest on your bed. We recommend settling down early, as watching the sun rise over the dunes is not to be missed.
