St Anton has an enviable reputation for its snow. The Eastern Alps frequently benefit from early snow and the largely pastoral terrain does not need a hugely deep base to offer great skiing conditions. As a result, St Anton frequently offers some of the best skiing in the Alps in December and January. The microclimate means that snowfalls are more prolific than in many other resorts and with plenty of skiing above 2000 meters, conditions can be great right up until late April.

Description
Located in the heart of the St Anton, the four star Raffl's Tyrol Hotel has burst onto the scene in St Anton and is an eclectic mix of trendy design, traditional Tyrolean hospitality with an emphasis on excellent service.
The Raffl's Tyrol Hotel is the latest addition to the hotel scene in St Anton having opened in December 2013 and brings a new dimension to the resort. It's refreshingly different with its unique combination of avant-garde ideas, trendy design and traditional Tyrolean hospitality with a touch of flower-power thrown in and does not take itself too seriously. At its heart is a team of charming and professional staff who will do their best to go out their way to make your stay truly special. In fact, the service is more akin to what you would expect at a five star hotel. Along with sister hotel the St Antonerhof, the Tyrol Hotel is owned and run by the Raffl Family who are passionate about giving their guests the ultimate all-encompassing vacation experience.
Food is very much a focus, with the hotel proclaiming culinary freedom through its anytime anywhere mentality. There are options galore from classic and half board options in the à la carte restaurant to the raclette and fondue specialties in the aptly-named Sticky Fingers restaurant.
The bar is the epicenter of the hotel and the atmosphere only gets better as the evening wears on. The place to party is Hell's Club, the hotel's own club open and from Wednesdays to Sundays. Serving up a hellishly good mix of great music, delicious finger food and drinks, Hell's Club is the new place to be seen in St Anton.
We think that the Raffl's Tyrol Hotel is best for couples and families with teenage children and anyone keen to stay somewhere a little bit different.

Activities
St Anton is just one part of the awesome Arlberg. The excellent snow record combined with such an extensive area means it should be high on the list for any good skier. The backcountry potential is such that a guide is essential if you wish to do more than scratch the surface. While the terrain can be challenging for those with only a few weeks’ experience, the Rendl area offers some easier runs and plenty of sun.
Aside from the skiing, St Anton exudes character and charm and the Tyrolean hospitality is not to be missed. The village itself is what Alpine villages should be like and there is a wealth of good restaurants shops. St Anton is famous for après ski and the Mooserwirt and Krazy Kanguruh are world-renowned.
The wellness center, the Well.com is highly acclaimed and there is masses more to do, including walking, rock climbing, ice skating, sleigh riding, curling, tennis squash and plenty more.
