Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Whilst Colombia is generally considered a year-round destination, the Caribbean coast has a hot and humid climate, typical of the tropics and rains can be experienced here at any time of year. The ‘drier’ season is from December to March, while the most rainfall comes in October and November. The best time to visit is the dry season although visitors to Tayrona should note that the national park is closed in February. Medellín is well known as the ‘city of the eternal spring’ thanks to it’s pleasant temperatures and sunny days year-round.

Time for some real coffee! After a short flight from Bogota, you’ll arrive in Colombia's famous coffee region, Pereira, nestled in the foothills of the Andes. Staying at the beautiful hacienda-style hotel rich in charm, surrounded by lush green rolling hills and immersed in nature. A delight for the senses, here you will visit working fincas and learn about the coffee-growing process whilst sipping a piping hot cup of Arabica (an absolute must!) Take a guided tour to the beautiful Cocora Valley and Filandia: marvel at the towering wax palms before exploring the cute colonial town.

  4. Days 5-8: Medellin

Leave the coffee region and fly on to the fascinating city of Medellin. Known for its difficult history, Medellin is now a city transformed and wins the heart of all those who visit. The locals, or 'paisas', are incredibly proud of their city and with good reason. Enjoy a full day tour discovering the city's highlights, such as Comuna 13 with its vibrant graffiti art, Botero Square home to the artist's iconic sculptures and Santa Elena with its fabulous flower garlands.  Relax in the beautifully restored villa of Patio del Mundo, set in lush tropical gardens a calming sanctuary from the buzz of Medellin.
