  2. Days 1-3: Bogota

Start your journey in Bogota, the bustling capital of Colombia. Home to a wealth of culture, where you will find the cobbled streets and historical buildings throughout the vibrant heart of La Candelaria.  On a Sunday, many of Bogota's streets are closed to traffic so for the best and most exhilarating way to explore the city and its diverse districts, we've included a privately guided bike tour.

  3. Days 3-5: San Agustin & the Southwest, Colombia

Time to leave the hustle and bustle behind you and leap to trails less travelled.  You will fly to Pitalito, 45 minutes' drive away from the town of San Agustin. A true delight to stay in the unique and peaceful Akawanka Lodge, bursting with art, character and colour.  Off the main tourist circuit, the town has a sleepy, laid-back feel. Surrounded by lush countryside and rolling hills, you'll visit the important archaeological sites of San Agustin Archaeological Park, Alto de los Idolos and Isnos to explore the fascinating pre-Columbian statues that depict the life and beliefs of an ancient civilisation.

    Accommodation: Akawanka Lodge (2 nights)

  4. Days 5-7: Villa de Leyva

Transfer back to Pitalito and return to Colombia’s capital, Bogota, where you'll be met at the airport and travel by private transfer to the picture-perfect colonial town of Villa de Lleyva. Staying in the Hotel Casa Terra for two nights, tucked away on a peaceful cobbled street, a relaxing base to explore the local area.  Enjoy a privately guided tour with an expert guide and explore this peaceful town, soaking up its charm and history.
